
Moving from our home land of Argentina to Canada was a monumental step of faith and hope. Leaving family and friends behind, we wanted to experience a different way of life. We have not been disappointed! It has been a challenge, but we have discovered a new home for ourselves and our children. Prince Edward Island is a creative and cultured province. We are now part of the fabric of this tiny Canadian Island province. Our work is fast becoming a unique indigenous PEI art form, with a considerable following in other parts of Canada and in the USA.
Fused glass technique is quite extraordinary and dates back to the ancient artisans of Egypt. It starts with at least two layers of glass and often involves many more. The kilns then are heated to at least 1450 degrees Fahrenheit, at which point the pieces fuse together and become only one.
